Movember....

I would participate but i no longer have any facial hair to speak of, or any where else for that matter. But i'll be with you guys in spirit.

Nope, not my thing

I run a Movember campaign (raising a lot this year!) every year and try to participate as well. I was growing facial hair that was coming in great just before starting chemo. I lost all my hair and only the hair on my head came back. ADT keeps me manscaped! Still, I've been coaxing the stache back and giving it a shot again for Movember. I'd trade it in a second to have my eyebrows back though.

I'm permanently unshaven, so it makes no difference to me. I guess I could forget to trim my facial hair this month, but I'm sure my wife would complain about that.

I tried it last year, shaved and regrew a mustache, hardly anyone noticed, nobody cared.

I see Matt and Al on the Today Show are doing it again this year. Good for them, I hope it helps some guy have his PSA checked in the nick of time!

As for you, go for it!!!!

I shaved on halloween...not sure how much hair I can grow in a month, but we'll see.

I'm actually going to road trip to Nashville on Dec 2nd. Jimmy Charles that sings the song Superman and is spokesman for Zero is having a shave party at a bar there. So I'm road tripping 5 hours with my brother and sis-in-law....shave and hear some good music.

I don't know..it's not much but it's something. I can choose to be cynical and stick my head in the sand and say eh, nobody cares, or I can continue to do what I can to promote awareness at any level.

Plus..it's Nashville...never been there :)

jpenn - We lived just north of Nashville for a little over 5 years. So much to see, so much to do. We loved living there, and I hope you have a great visit! My diagnosis and treatments were at Vanderbilt Medical System, right in downtown Nashville. "Noshville" is a famous deli/restaurant down there. Broadway is great, so many way-too-loud ***-tonks (edit: for heaven's sake, the system edited the word h*nkey out!!). The General Jackson riverboat ride is pretty cool. Grand Ol' Opry is a classic of course.

We're planning to retire back to that same area when I can do so, hopefully just another couple of years...

I've never done it before but this year I'm going full-on Boots Electric with the Fu Manchu. Rock on.

I met Jimmy Charles today who sings the PC song Superman. He was at the Zero Cancer Walk/Run in Hollywood, FL. He seems like a great guy, fighting the beast across the country. He is growing his beard for Movember.

DH is still in the shaggy stage, but he's doing his best (on HT) to support the cause and raise awareness of PC and men's issues. He's had a bunch of questions about the beard, mostly from guys.
