Sad news - our friend "adjust" (Don) passed away

I'm sorry if this news was already shared on this site. I haven't seen anything and couldn't find anything by searching his name. I was looking for info on him when I didn't hear back from him on our last set of emails. I came across his obituary tonight and it really took me by surprise. He died on September 9th. Don's HW handle was "adjust".

I drove down to meet him for lunch at Mayo not long ago. I'm a little shocked right now.

I'll miss you Don. Thoughts and prayers for Wendy and your family.

Gunner, my heart to broken. I remember him well when he attended GFMPH NY a year and 2 months ago. His wife was so nice. If you have contact with the family please send me an email so that Pat and I can reach out to her.

I have Don's email but not Wendy's. I think I can go back and find a phone # or email for Wendy in my correspondence with Don. I'll share with the GFMPH'ers on FB.
I'm sure she'd love any correspondence from the crew here.

I am sorry to hear this. I remember Don's smiling face as we sat around the campfire in the woods. He was so quiet and relaxed. A gentle soul, indeed.

Here is his question when he was first diagnosed.

Very sad to hear abiut his passing. I feel like he was a fellow brother in arms because we shared similar diagnosis.

I am grateful to have known Don and Wendy. They were on the cruise just two years ago shortly after he was dealt a very bad hand. I stayed in touch with him and always enjoyed our discussions. He went through some very tough treatments and I always found him to be optimistic, humble and very concerned about everyone else, downplaying his own challenges. A wonderful person who will be missed.

I was amazed how well Don was doing at GFMPH time before last. His story at the men's meeting was very compelling.

" completely inappropriate" seems somewhat harsh , for the cause of death, I'm not seeing any obscenity, but will defer.. In any event it is printed on any google of Dietrich Bonhoeffers demise. Im reading his biography now...a fascinating read of the years leading up to the war in Europe in the 40's. If this post is objectional I request an email from such to help me understand...if not... its all Kew as the young folks say now a days. I am referring to this post not the one edited above

I never knew Don, i do remember some of his posts, from my early days here. It's very said to read this thread, and especially said to read the reposting of his original thread, only 2 short years ago.

From all thats been said here about him, he was clearly a good guy.
