I started my 9 week treatment today with 45 visits scheduled just before I start work. It will be 180 cgy dose with a machine called Varian Rapid Arc Triology model. Pretty well routine with nothing outstanding to comment on. I thank all the members who helped me get to this point in one piece, and moving forward. It is a humbling experience to realize in order to deal with this cancer you must be able to accept help, that being the hardest for me. I look forward to a positive outcome solely as a result of the Healing Well Forum.

Best of luck but you'll need to be on ADT a lot longer than 30 days .

The doctor is saying 2 years on Lupron with injections every 4 months. Does that count?

2 years definitely counts! As I've said before, we have amazingly similar situations.

My docs pushed for 3 years, but many are saying 2 years is enough. One day we'll have enough info to say for sure, but not yet. They lump so many types of cases into a "high risk" category it's hard to see what really applies to one's specifics.

I start in 3 weeks. 8 weeks for 40 treatments. Can't wait...not

Thanks Redwing, how are the odds for 2 5-4 g9's moving forward about the same way?. I understand I am in the 3% of the class but my gosh, I would so much rather be average right now. I say so what, I bought a 20' Harris pontoon (1993) and have take it out three time now. I have 44 treatments to go and will squeeze as many trips on that boat with my freinds and grand babies as I can. The beast can kiss my ****.

I had pontoon boat for ten years. Great time of fun with family and friends. I have heard that being bounced around on a tube behind the boat knocks the socks off of high
