Had my last HT injection (Zoladex) in October 2014. All PSA readings since then have been <0.01

Just got my latest test result back and it is 0.01. The all important < is missing. I'm in Australia, so not a Quest hiccup.

I guess not surprising given my +margins and Tertiary 5's, but also disappointing given that we have thrown everything at it - Surgery, RT and 12 months HT.

I realise there is nothing to do for now except wait with even more jangled nerves for the next test. Saw the Uro in September and he arranged for my next test mid 2016, but I'm thinking I might ask for another test in 3 months, just to monitor the doubling time, or more hopefully to pick up any error in the last test.

Numbers can drive you mad. Had my last test in September and was <.01. Could have been .001 and current reading of .01 would be a 10 fold increase in 3 months - eeeeechh!!

But then it could have been .009 and current reading of .01 seems pretty good. And of course could be (and most likely is) somewhere between those extremes.

Going to try to assume the better option, but already hanging out for the next test!

Andrew, of course you are right.

There are plenty of guys far worse off than me, but it is just a bit of a shock when you suddenly find things aren't going as perfectly as you hoped.

I'll live with it. I've had my mini vent and really not looking for sympathy.

Isn't it amazing how the numbers can play with your mind and emotions?! Vent all you want, I think we all go thru that.
