3rd opinion on slides ?

Hello All,as you can see by my signature my Gleasaon score was downgraded by John Hopkins. Quest done the original biopsy reading,indicating that a focal high grade PIN was spotted on right side.The tumors were on the left side.Quest also did not note any perineural invasion,PNI.

John Hopkins, even with the down grade,did include a PNI in their report.But they did not report the High Grade PIN.So my question is should a 3rd reading be done, lets say bostwick labs ? Or should take the Hopkins report the final answer?

Should my Uro contact Quest and ask for more clarification.Or are these finding subjective?

A pathologist examines your sample and judge it on a gray scale that goes from black to white. There are no precise measure of how samples should place on this scale, it is up to each individual pathologist based on its knowledge and experience. A third pathologist wouldn't have the final truth, just suggest another point on the gray scale. I agree with Andrew. Take what you have got a continue from there.

HGPIN is an unimportant finding. There is nothing to be done differently because of it.
