BREAKING NEWS!!!
Grandma got run over by a reindeer! Rudolph has been listed as "a person of interest". FBI, HSA, NBA, NHL,FHA, IRS have all stated that they will initiate in-depth investigations as to Rudolph's involvement. This certainly could have an effect on Rudolph in future debates.
Tonight's debaters are arriving this afternoon. Taking a page from TR's playbook from a hundred years ago, The Grinch arrived in town on the Polar Express. Grinch addressed his supporters from the back of the train. Grinch presented new options for his plan from four years ago and shouted "Forward". At that point, the conductor misunderstood what was going on, the train and Grinch, lurched forward, symbolically moving away from the inquisitive electorate. Grinch, trying to reposition himself, then aligned with his predecessor's plan: "Change We Can Believe In". This plan was way beyond successful. In fact Grinch stated that "Change" was not enough. This time it is was going to take "Dollars". He then got the crowd chanting "Dollars We Can Believe In".
Grinch's second topic was that he would appoint two or three Czars to monitor PC topics. These Czars could edit or in fact delete words that were not good for the established goals of the controlled community. Next on the agenda, Grinch brought in entertainment on the importance of words. He had the top three finalists from this year's national spelling bee. The first to demonstrate was given the word pianissimo. They were to say the word, spell the word and then use it in a complete sentence. The young champion said and spelled the word correctly. Then recited the following sentence: "My dad went to the urologist, the PA came in with a cup and said, "not enough, here, pianissimo."
The three PC Czars then came to the microphone and hummed "Silent Night" as the train slowly pulled away. With the surgical precision of a robot, the Grinch's personality radiated with the assembled. Their elevated hormones had them at a feverish pitch waiting for tonight's debate to begin. Like a thief in the night, Grinch had stolen them from Rudolph.
