PSA FREE AND TOTAL RATIO AFTER RP AND SRT

Hi folks
I am two years down the road from surgery and SRT with my last PSA result of 0.2 and free PSA of 0.07 for a ratio of 33.83. My question is; does the ratio mean much at this point? From what I have read, prior to treatment, a ratio of 15% or less would be an indication that additional scrutiny might be needed while a ratio of 25% or more would be a strong indication that no prostate caner is present. Most of you know a lot more than me when it comes to this disease so I hope someone has some input concerning my question.
I know this might be considered grasping at straws, trying to find a piece of positive information out of a possible rising PSA report, but that is what we do isn't it?

You're in same boat as me. Sorry you have to be here. You are definitely in store for scans to find out where the recurrance exists. It's most probably in pelvic lymph nodes. When I was in your situation, ( even worse given psa had risen to 1.22), I called Dattoli Cancer Center in Sarasota who treat only PCa and mostly high risk situations like ours. I'm now in remission. Give them a call and arrange a free one hour phone consultation with Dr Dattoli. They are awesome.

The PSA alone is cause for further investigation. Post surgery/RT I don't think the FreePSA adds much to the info pile.

You're PSA is still bouncing around a bit, which is consistent with SRT. I suggest you have a conversation with your docs, but I suspect you're just fine monitoring for awhile more. If the next number is above .2, then you'll need a really heart to heart talk with your medical team.

Hang in there, is stressful for sure, but there is a some hope it's mostly stable.
