Lupron effective for how long?

So if my RO wants me on lupron for 13 months do I really need (4) three month shots and (1) one month shot? Thus far I've had each of my three month shots about 3.5 months (14 weeks) apart so I'll reach the requisite 13 months with (4) three month shots. You may ask " why 13 months? The answer is he doesn't believe it's beneficial any longer than that.

I would guess that all the data on HT is based on how long the shots were good for...not the tailing off period as it wears off and testosterone begins to recover. So if your RO has some data that shows 13 months is optimal then it's based on that...not 12 months, plus a month or so for the testosterone to recover. At least that would be my guess.

The general consensus around here is that the longer you've been on HT, the longer it takes for your T to recover. But even then it really seems to vary according to the individual.
