I have my last PSA reading of .2 in hand after completing IMRT . Did not make it to zero. It has been 18 months on HT will I be satisfied to get another Lupron shot or ask for a vacation. Will he have another direction or no direction. Bone density still OK. Give me a hint please

My understanding is that you don't take a vacation with a PSA of .23.

Dr. Lam uses 0.05.

I know that's not what you want to hear. HT is miserable stuff. My HT vacation is close to ending, sadly.

There are no rules about when to take an HT vacation. Different oncologists make up their own rules, but there's no evidence that any protocol is better than any other. Have you had your bone met zapped? Discussed docetaxel?
