Xtandi experiences

I have been on Xtandi for 18 months and Firmagon for 44 months. My Psa has been <0.1 of 16 months. Much of the literature says Xtandi only lasts 12 months and everyone develops resistance. Since I am in remission, how long should I continue Xtandi and is it possible I will not develop resistance. Also how long should I continue Firmagon? My Testosterone has been < 20 for 16 months. Would like to stop both meds because of the fatigue and hot flashes but hesitate to "rock the boat". Anyone in a similar position? I am a Gleason 9 with stable T7 mets treated with IMRT.

I don't know the answer to your question as I am on Zytiga and my PSA is slowly rising after 16 months. Most people on Zytiga seem to get around two years, so that might be true of Xtandi. But happy that it is working for you.

I guess there are 2 schools of thought, CHT and IHT. I've gone down the IHT road and I do like the breaks.
