Mark-
It was certainly not my intent to offend you. It is my intent to alert
guys to the fact that practice-changing research has emerged.

Did this info just come out within the last two weeks about this shorter treatment option ? I "just" started IMRT 2 wks ago. If it is that new and it only became available in last 2 wks I'll buy your defense.
Actually, if you look at the date on the study I cited, it is September 15, 2016 -- it's been less than one week since publication in the American Journal of Clinical Oncology. All of the studies about
hypofractionation have been published within the last couple of years. If you think you want to discuss this with your radiation oncologist, it is absolutely appropriate to forward the the journal article to her, perhaps with the studies from Fox Chase, the CHHiP study, RTOG 0415, and HYPRO (links in article below), and tell her you would like to hear her opinions about
it.
/pcnrv.blogspot.com/2016/08/hypofractionated-radiation-therapy-for.htmlI have never criticized anyone in HW or my support groups for choices they have already made. Patients only make choices that are the right choices for them at the time they made them - how should I presume to know what's right for them? I have a hard enough time figuring out what's right for
me. And I have always been supportive of patients afterwards, suggesting remedies for side effects and salvage therapies, etc. I never said "I told you so" to anyone here, and never would. At the same time, I cannot be responsible for what
you infer from any of my posts. If you take it as a personal criticism, you are free to do that, but then ask yourself whether that attitude serves you well.
