Good morning fellow travelers after getting the news on Oct the 11th that my PSA had gone up from 8.98 in April to 33.6 I have since had it taken again and am thrilled to report it is 4.7 as of 11-1. I also had a bone scan yesterday after talking with my RO about the rise in PSA and some pain that had diminished since starting Lupron. The call came on my way back home that the scan was clear except for some degenerative areas that were equal on both sides. So my SBRT will start 11-7-16 Wish me luck. Thanks everyone for the support

That's encouraging news, to be sure --- your P.S.A. levels have dropped SIGNIFICANTLY --- that's a huge relief to you, I know --- I'm thankful for that GOOD NEWS today !

Keep forging ahead --- facing forward, as your treatments begin --- keep setting daily goals --- stay active --- and stay connected with your family, friends, and faith, in whatever form that takes for you.

Well finished 2 of 5 of my SBRT treatments today at UAB, so far so good. The hard part so far is timing of the full bladder. It seems that I am having some reduced stream when urinating and the RO said that is probably from some swelling of the prostate. I am on Flomax once a day and he said we could up that to twice if need be. No other issues yet but I know this is the gift that keeps on giving. In the paperwork they gave me on side effects it said they usually happen if they do in 2-3 weeks.
As I am really just starting this journey I realize that I am really blessed to have the good health that I do because it surely could be worse. God Bless You All and good luck.
