It has been six months since my biopsy came back positive. Since then I have had additional testing, talked to several medical professionals, read numerous books, and sought information from this forum. PC is one of those diseases where there are many options, but no "one size fits all" treatment. Each individual must decide what is the best recourse for him, and a gut wrenching decision it is. I am very grateful to the members here who have taken the time to share their experiences.
I would like to send a special thank you to halbert whose journey from diagnosis through recovery was well documented in his thread "My Story" and should be considered "must reading" for anyone wanting an unbiased first hand account of surgical treatment and aftermath.
Tomorrow morning I will undergo RALP at BJC West in St. Louis, performed by Dr. Figenshau.
I'm at peace with myself and my treatment decision. My only regret is that they won't keep me sedated until after this darn election is over!
All the Best

Good luck to you tomorrow! Presumably Halbert's info will be helpful to you as you recover as well. (And will make better reading than post-election news...)

Good luck with the surgery.
Captain Morgan and I strongly advise self - administered sedation/anaesthesia until after the election. Problem solved!

Just turn off your TV and handheld devices and it all goes away......Hillary will win, by Thanksgiving nobody will remember who Donald Trump was and life will go on largely undisturbed...
Good luck with the surgery and bring a pair of loose fitting sweat pants and a pair of slip-on shoes to come home in ! ! Best of luck to you !

I had my surgery September 12, and I decided not to pay attention to the election for a while. I found it too upsetting and unlikely to contribute to my recovery. I generally stayed off the internet and read some good books and watched funny movies and TV shows. Stay positive and keep walking!

I still remember the best advice I got when I had my RP. Walk, drink, rest, repeat. Best of luck to you!

Do let us know how you're doing after.
Likely you'll do just fine.
and they will give you enough drugs so you care about
the election...
