Effects of Eligard

I have been on Eligard for 15 months and that will be the last of it, at least for awhile. I am also on Flomax. By Christmas time, my body should free of the Eligard. I am asking how long can I expect to still have night sweats, weight gain and peeing issues, and some weakness. I exercise every day. Should I get off Flomax to test the waters so to speak..hey that was a pun. Thanks

March 30/16 finished 39 treatments of IMRT.
Sept. 27, 2016 ...PSA reading 0.1 and last eligard shot

I was on Eligard and Lupron for three years. It took 18 months to get the T rising to the point that I lost the ADT side effects. The drug has a half life of the shot duration. So if your last shot was three months it will take nearly a year to reduce to the point that your T starts to recover.

For me the first to recover was libido and some body hair returning. I then lost the hot flashes and then about 30 pounds. So recovery will occur,just not real fast. But it all depends on you and your experience will likely be somewhat different than mine.

Same here. It took more than 2 years after the last hit of Eligard for my testosterone to get up to 204 ng/dL. Unfortunately my PSA also went up from less than 0.03 to 0.08.

No longer have hot flashes, body hair is growing back and have lost about 8 of the 16 pound weight gain. Doc says most of that was water weight. The fatigue has become part of my life, as has the lack of libido.
