Hello all,
I haven't been in here at all over the past year or so. I've been busy, healthy, and happy. Had my 2 year post-op PSA the other day. My anniversary is on the 4th of February. PSA is still undetectable.
The only ongoing issue I've had is ED. I had a bilateral nerve sparing RALP. From 12 to 18 months, I saw the most improvement in function, but I'm still only at about
60 - 70% without any aids, on a good day. Sildenafil sort of works, but leaves me with terrible head aches for 24 hours afterward, so I've stopped using it all together. Trimix works, usually, but there are times where it just doesn't cut it. I think that's more psychological than anything, when it doesn't work.
I've had low-back problems for years. I ruptured the L4-L5 disc a long time ago but never had surgery. As a result, my back is always in a state of wanting to be unhappy. I stretch and do exercises to try and keep on top of it. When it does start hurting, I use to reach for NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Naproxen, etc.) but I've been trying to avoid them, for a number of reasons. I live in Oregon, but had never bothered to get a Medical Marijuana Card. Last year, Oregon decriminalized cannabis and I started experimenting with strains to relieve my back pain. Primarily, I've been using strains High in CBD and low in THC. This allows me to still function.
I bring this up because one of the unexpected benefits of this has been increased erectile function when using cannabis. I am not much for smoking, or vaping, though that does provide immediate relief. I have, instead, been using tinctures to ingest the cannabis. Using this method, I have had semi-regular erections using nothing more than cannabis. It's not consistent, but it is an improvement. I wonder if there are others who have experienced this?
Cheers!
