Treatment Update

Just an update for everyone as my treatment plan has been changed again.

As you can see from my signature, my PSA has been doubling over the last few months. This has been very disappointing after a great response to initial ADT and Chemo. I was hoping for a longer period before castrate resistance. Nonetheless, here we are. I have finished 2 rounds of Provenge and will be finished with round 3 in a little less than 2 weeks. I am starting Xtandi tomorrow.

Scans in January were clean so I am hoping that we are catching whatever is going on early. I have to say, intellectually I know that the PSA is just a number, and that other markers matter as well, but I can't help but to feel scared when it starts to rise. I have to remind myself that there will be ups and downs, and as TA says, "Take it as it comes and don't get too far ahead".

I otherwise feel fine and continue to live a relatively normal life. I am hopeful that I will tolerate Xtandi well with few SE's. I am thankful to be at MDA where my treatment has been exceptional.

I plan to be in Baton Rouge in April for the GFMY events. Best to all.
