VA Beta -
I had similar diagnosis as you and did surgery. On the positive side it reduced the number of trips to the bathroom at night from 1 - 2 to zero today. Incontinence is zero, pee flow much stronger but I have some mild ED.
One argument pro RP I got (and listened to) when deciding was low age.
Quote from a current guideline in Europe: "Low age. With radiation therapy there is in the long term a small but over time, increasing risk of secondary malignancy
/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25139441. This should be considered in patients with the expected remaining life of more than 20 years, particularly in low- and medium-risk cancer, because the risk then is small for the patient to die of their prostate cancer."
I don't know if this argument is seen in US at all? Probably not. Tall Allen have posted several times that the risk for secondary cancer is negligible and the studies claiming that are outdated?
