Nor me. I discovered many years ago you have to be your own health advocate.
My father-in-law was a general practitioner in a small west Texas town for 30 or 40 years. He delivered hundreds of babies, did general surgery and was the health advocate for all of his patients. In many cases he treated the parents of many of his patients. In my experience, those days are long gone due to a variety of circumstances.
