Tall Allen has a good idea. . . if it works for you. That didn't work for me when we planned my biopsy. Instead I used the time to read and learn, just in case. That way, if my biopsy report came back negative, I would be relieved. If it came back positive, I felt that the initial shock would be less because I would have some ideas about what would be ahead for me.
I had a positive biopsy, albeit a fairly low-risk diagnosis. The time spent learning was not wasted, as I met folks here who pointed me toward a lot of information that later proved valuable in deciding my own course of action.
I guess it just depends upon how your mind wants to work. But do think of it this way. . . your PSA is only "moderately elevated" although the low free PSA value is cause for concern. Since PSA isn't sky-high, though, even if it is cancer, you probably have lots of good treatment options and a good chance at a cure.
