He is making progress but very slow. We had a pleasant conversation, it was great to hear his voice, he sounded strong.
He said to give his regards to all on HW.
He's ok, just not ready to restart posting as a regular yet.

I appreciate the update. And he's got plenty of work without worrying about HW for the moment. But I sure hope he knows that we care and are wishing him the best...

Prato, thanks for the update. We look forward to the day when Mel is back here causing work for the mods

Thanks for the update, pratoman. I've occasionally carried on email conversations with Mel, but I've been reluctant to start again as he has said that typing is still a challenge. If you hear anything that may indicate that he's up for it, please let us know.

My sentiments, too. I, and I guess others, am holding off trying to contact Mel until he lets us know it's okay with him to start communicating again.

But Mel is strong, and I'm certain that time will come.
