I don't know much about kidney stones, thank goodness, except that they hurt like heck.
But just a comment, on plant based diets... there is another school of thought, that plant based is just wrong. Not that you shouldn't eat vegetables, but plant based diets tend to be low fat, high carb, this school of thought says high fat with saturated fat being good and even necessary (but not in excess), but mostly good fats, very low NET carbs, NO grains, including whole grains. No added sugar. There's more too it, but that's a key part of it as it relates to your question.
Not sure how that affects kidney stones.
