Diagnosed and radical nerve sparing prostatectomy in 2010. PSA - 6.37 Gleason 7 - (3+4).
Stayed 0.00 for couple years then started trending up to a .46 in the past couple months. Just finished the 39 day IMRT radiation last week... Waiting to see how it affects the PSA. Doc will check again in 6 weeks..
If anyone has experiences that may be helpful, would appreciate to know what is in the future... thks

Welcome T2010. Very hard to tell what the future might be. At this point it's a wait-n-see, PSA test again and go from there which is where I'm at having just completed the salvage radiation too. Did you have Hormone Therapy with the radiation?
If you post more specifics about
your surgical results the guys more knowledgeable than I may be able to offer additional insight.

Welcome to HW.
The future will be bright and sunny with clouds and occasional rain.
At this point it's a waiting game. SRT can take months to show progress. You're in that awful wait and see mode.

T2010, not much to add, as the above guys said, you need to wait it out. What was your pathology, stage, etc. Margins? ECE?
Good luck and welcome

Well I know for a fact that the PSA reading on your prostate is .000. That can be confirmed if you can locate where it is today-LOL. You are in that wait and see stage. Was there a reason for waiting to start SRT until.46? I am two years out from SRT and latest PSA was <.006. Could not be happier. I hope you get the same results.

Thanks for the replies guys, will have to get more info to respond about
some of the more specific questions about
my results. I did not have hormone therapy with the radiation treatment. I didn't start the radiation till now simply because my doc didn't suggest. Again, I will get more specifics about
my case and thanks for the welcome.

My buddy had a very similar situation as yours. Surgery several years ago then a dectable PSA reading so he had salvage radiation a year or two ago and he's doing fine. Yes, waiting sucks.I'm currently at MD Anderson waiting to see my urologist and then the radiation oncologist. I'll be getting my PSA test result after lunch today.
