Thanks Wilderness & Jack&Diane
I had my meeting with a RO today here in Austin...
I told him I want to see at least 1 more uPSA -- and if it's over 0.07, to probably start treatment.
He suggested a PET scan perhaps... I said it probably wouldn't pick up anything, and he agreed ... but I think he still wants to do it nonetheless ...
He also mentioned 2 different HT's -- a pill form, and a shot.. with different approaches.
Finally, he said his treatment process was via a VMAT device...
Oh well .. I hope my score is under 0.07 ... but I'm so worried about it progressing, and reading the reports about early salvage = better outcomes, I'm almost ready to tell the Dr. to start the process.
I'm not sure about the hormone therapy... and if I really need it... but, I bet a lot of patients and doctors err on the side of saftey for this answer, right?
If I didn't take it could the cancer return, but yet be a more agressive version or something? ... or I guess the real threat is the cancer escaping and having METS if I don't do everything in my power to nuke it now.
Anyways, my brain dump... hoping someone reads this and drops there thoughts here for a worried soul.
