Just got my latest PSA score back and I am very fortunate that it continues to be low and steady—in fact, this was the lowest of my post-ADT scores at 0.10.
This March, I had made the decision to only have PSA tests every six months. Now I’m thinking of just having a PSA test once a year when I get my annual physical.
As a Gleason 9, I don’t want to be cocky enough to say I’m cured—after all pride does go before a fall. But I do like the idea of continuing to put my diagnosis in the rear view mirror. And in the event PCa rears its ugly head again, it seems quite unlikely that six month tests versus once a year will really make a difference in any outcome.
Anyone see a reason this doesn’t make sense?
BTW, tomorrow is the five year anniversary of my diagnosis!
