That's unfortunate that the urologist was so unhelpful. Your partner should ask for a copy of the results (on paper), not just be told them by the physician. Offer to wait if you must. While things maybe somewhat different in the NHS, I expect that there should be written reports for both imaging and the biopsy. Don't necessarily trust your physician, no matter how good they are, to fully verbally communicate all the details to you. Unfortunately, I expect that in the NHS, like here, patients need to advocate for themselves - don't be afraid to be politely insistent about
getting information you need. BTW, I am saying this as someone whose spouse is a physician.
For perspective, I had a follow up mpMRI scan performed yesterday. Done at 3:00 pm. I had a copy of my report (and the images if I wished to view them) by 1:00 pm today via internet portal. They have been printed off and added to my file. Nothing alarming, so I expect I will have a chat with my urologist about
them in the next 3 or 4 weeks. Would that the rest of the world (and my life) worked that efficiently.
