I just read a report that the Alabama congressman was diagnosed and has chosen surgery as his initial treatment. He made strong recommendations for men to be tested.

I don't know him, or his particular case, but I wish him the best. I read some of his remarks and it seemed to me he spread some bad information, saying how critical it was for anyone to move fast with surgery. That struck me as wrong as a blanket statement and sounded like it was a self-serving attempt at making him look more heroic. Of course I always think the worst of any politician. Anyway, I hope his choice of treatment works for him.

Thanks for posting that. I was going to try to post a video of his speech, but have not as yet. Also did not want to read the backlash of those with opposite views, which I know will be coming soon here. The only words he might have left off for me was "need of immediate surgery" as we know there might be other options, we do not know his exact details.

Anyone can you tube his speech ,I highly recommend it, a very personal, emotional and moving testimony.

I feel he had expert Doctors guidance and advice from a top tier treatment location. Each of us is free to his or her opinion.
I know what mine is, I only wish I could have done what he did , before mine spread.

While no one wants to see him suffer or die, the internet is filled with scorn for Mr. Brooks.

Only a few months ago, he publicly stated that "Sick People Don’t Deserve Affordable Care".

He is now rushing to use his taxpayer-funded Obamacare Gold plan to deal with his own sickness.

Posting just because I like to post on threads that may well get locked at some point.

Whatever he may have said that was mean, inconsiderate, or whatever, the man has cancer and I wish him the best.
