Finally saw RO

Hi all we finally saw the RO yesterday, he was a joy to talk to. I loved the way he wrote out everything on a board so my hubby could understand it, he even went so far as to draw diagrams of the anatomy and was very thorough with what was planned, possible side effects to expect, etc. We both felt very comfortable when we left, and he told us if there were any questions we forgot to call him. He feels very confident that the cancer is localized and a cure is possible, he even went on to say that " If you didn't have have so many years left to enjoy life I would not recommend tx". We are scheduled for simulation 01/19/18 and 9 weeks of EBRT. Hubby got 6mos Lupron injection yesterday and is a little sore but tolerating the Casodex. My question to the forum is Has anyone taken Cialis during ADT and Radiation tx? Hubby's UO has ordered him the 20mg q 36hours. He also stated that hubby should continue to try to get erections. How is this possible and does this make sense when he is receiving ADT (chemical castration)?

ADT has a big effect on libido, but a lesser effect on erectile function. Unlike surgery, which traumatized the nerves, radiation has little effect on nerves but may cause scar tissue in blood vessels. Cialis has a protective effect on the blood vessels supplying the penis. Using the erectile apparatus as much as possible (even though he may have no desire to do so) may help preserve function.

Is the risk of urinary dysfunction from the prior TURP the reason why he is avoiding brachy boost therapy?
