I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008 - psa 5.7 - gleason 5 - biopsy 1 out of 12 samples
I opted to treat cancer by extremely healthy eating Fruits Veges and salads no red meats very little bread regular hard exercise 4/5 days per week
I developed a watchful waiting attitude and also had my psa levels checked every 3 months
year 1,level reduced to 3.7 and since then has grown slowly over the years as follows
year 2 - 5.5, year 3 - 6.2, year 5 - 8 mainly in the 6 s level but occasional jumps 7.2 an odd 8,8,
in 2015 (year 7) the levels were averaging around 7.4, over the next 1.5 years closer to 8 occasional jumps to 9.4 and then in mid 2016 hit 11.8. Most recent psa reading 2018 2 days aqgo level was sitting at 14.8.
So it has doubled in the last 2.5 years.
Can anyone give me some idea of what this means. is it possible that the cancer may have metastasised or are these reading very inconclusive. Thanks
