Flomax side effects?

Hi everyone, I am taking Flomax for a month now to help my urine flow due to my cancer in prostate. My joints and muscles are really aching especially my hips and back muscles. Can Flomax be the cause? This all started a week after on Flomax. Docs have done both MRI and CT and all cancer is contained. I start radiation on 1/29......any input?

Flu like symptoms and back pain are known side effects, Call your prescribing doc, tell them, they may be able to prescribe a similar drug with less side effects

I doubt your urine flow problems are related to prostate cancer. You should find out what is causing the urine flow issues, what did the urologist tell you?

And those tests don't mean the cancer is contained, they just didn't find any thing glaring

I used Flomax to start with never had side effects just did not work then moved onto Rapaflo to see if it would help. Neither did help.

A scope up my urethra end up showing a partial collapse of the prostate. I ended up getting a Turp done. I pee like a 18 yr old now. smilewinkgrin

I have used Flomax a couple of times and aside from the sexual side effects (Meh!), the one that gives me the most problem is that I experience occasional light-headedness and frequent reduction in my exercise tolerance. As a cardiac patient, I monitor very closely my exercise tolerance to ensure that I react quickly if any changes in my cardiac performance take place. The impact of Flomax clouds all of my measurements.

Speaking from my experience with Flomax,I found that it has side effects that I couldn't tolerate on was back pain,the other sinus problems.i freely admit that I am highly susceptible to drug side effects.
Your problem might just be from the flomax.
