Ok 6 Months out with the Implant. Finally feeling fully comfortable with the Implant. I must say it is a great thing to have my "self" back. No more pills great, no more injections that gave me Peyronies great, no more failures great, no more fear great. Have had many times to use the implant it's slightly different then before. I am a little shorter but not much. I suggest that if you suffer from ED at any level pay the price and get it back. I'm surprised they don't offer an implant at the same time as the RALP. Just get it over with and move on with your life. Ok on to the "juicy stuff" penetration is a little more challenging but is great to be able to perform as long as you like. My new penis is a little less sensitive but for some that might be a good thing as you can enjoy sex much longer if you desire. My girlfriend has absoutlely no idea it's an implant and seems very happy with both oral sex and intercourse. It seems normal to me now. I feel great about
it and feel fully confident. I just excuse myself to the bathroom and 15 to 25 pumps later I'm ready for hours of sex. If I know I'm going have sex I pre-pump 10 or 15 times so I'm excited from minute one. Then just add some more pumps when fully ready and you are good to go. Another positive side effect is no more shrinkage with a tiny wiener. I'm always have a good sized penis even when resting. If you go somewhere like the locker room, or a nude beach "which I have never been to yet" you have a proud penis at all times. I'm very happy this was done. At first it's a little challenging but once you get used to this it's worth every obstacle to get there.
I wasted 4 years of my life trying every option, I slipped into a terrible depression and withdrew from life. Now I'm very happy again to know I'm complete. If anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you

Bigal,
I am really glad to hear about
your good results! You've been through a lot, but it sounds like you are now back in the saddle! I take it this has also cured the Peyronie's? Good for you, Brother!

Bigal--
Your subject line had me worried. So I was glad to read you're actually having sex with your girlfriend, and she's the one having sex with your implant. That sounds like a nice arrangement!

Al, glad to hear things worked out for you. I recall encouraging you to go for it but you seemed extremely reluctant. My experience is basically identical to yours.
Pat, I had the same implant you are going in for, and it couldn't have worked out better for me. If I recall correctly, I tried having sex a few weeks out and it was a bit too soon, but I think 6 weeks out it was fine.
One thing I'll comment on - my surgeon said that the length of the implant is non-negotiable - you can see how long it will be by taking the head of your penis (while flaccid) and pulling it out as far as you can. That will be the length when inflated. As Al mentioned, it doesn't really shrink much or grow much, so if you are average sized before the surgery it will appear over average when not pumped up. I say this because I was above average before the surgery and that is my experience as well. Relative to just post-surgery the length can increase a bit but that may have more to do with getting back to where you should be. For the first months to a year you want to inflate it often - I usually did in the shower each day so that it stretches out to full extent over time.
My surgeon mentioned that some are not happy with the length afterwards, but it is not possible to make it larger than described because your anatomy is what it is. I suspect that those below average may be more likely to come away less content.
That said, I am with Al - life is much better now, no more Peyronie's and no more anxiety about
having sex.

I am considering undergoing the penile implant. My only hesitation is not the actual surgery itself, but the ability to freely pee following recovery from the surgery. I have always been a shy pee person (paruresis) and have recently resolved this condition and am now peeing just fine. The question is: does this penile implant surgery interfere in any way with the flow of one's ability to pee following the surgery or does this surgery alter or change the flow of pee through the urethra? And, of course I am talking about
when the penis is flaccid or not erect with the saline solution in the cylinders.

"I'm surprised they don't offer an implant at the same time as the RALP"
i'm pretty sure that would be counterproductive to selling the procedure.

New member here.
I'm 81 years of age.
I have Gleason 3-3 PC.
I also got implanted with the AMS 700 CX a year ago and actually got fitted perfectly.
I measured my lifelong length the first time I was inflated and since then have even gained a little more.
Every bit helps lol.
My surgeon never asked what my size was not did a stretch test before he
opened me up and measured me.
I have no problems urinating with the implant, even when it's inflated.
Bottom line is don't automatically assume you'll lose length unless you have a pre-existing condition like Peyronies or excessive scarring.

Tom, you never knew what your doc did once you were under
He never measured me until then (apparently).
No change in urine flow. Implant is in a different region of your member.

Right, he only felt my junk once prior to surgery and didn't see any potential issues.
I asked about
scrotum since my boys have shrunk from T shots.
He said that will make it easier.
No difference in urination at all.

Make Your Device Suffice With This One Weird Trick
One thing I have noticed since getting my implant is that sticking to my diet makes a big difference in its perceived size. As you get heavier the fat pad thickens and slumps lower. Since we only give the device credit for the part that sticks out past our flab, losing weight make it (effectively) bigger. I realize that this offers no help for our already-thin brethren but, judging from the forum members I have personally met, it should work for most of us.

Thanks so much Tom and Im_P for your replies regarding urine flow. You are helping me with the confidence to do the penile implant surgery. Any referral to the best PI surgeon in the Los Angeles area? Maybe you do not offer that kind of advice on this site?

I corresponded with a guy in SoCal who recommended a doc there. I could get the info from him if it would help?
I also have a lot of confidence in the doctors at the urology place I go to.
It seems the most important things about
this surgery are risk of infection and proper sizing.
The modern apparatus they install has an anti-bacterial coating and they are very conscious of infection risk.
Another good site for information on penile implants is the Frank Talk forum/implants.
I hope that recommendation is all right.
I can get the SoCal info if you want it.

The guy "oldbeek" had this team:
USC Keck. Dr Boyd and Dr Loh Doyle
He's happy with the result, but you really never know.
Even guys who had used Dr Eid in NYC and Dr Kramer in the Baltimore area occasionally have issues.
There's also a Dr Karpman who is well thought of, but I think he's in Mountain View, NoCal.
Eid and Kramer seem to be the most famous implant surgeons.
Dr Eid mostly uses Coloplast implants. Kramer uses both manufacturers.

Frank Talk is a great source of information on implants.
I'm a member there as tomas1 and I was referred here when I developed PC.
I guess I'm a dual member.
I'll post updates on my PC.
I just did a search on Dr Wilson and he seems to be a well regarded, high volume surgeon.

Bigel, Did you notice a bulge across your pubic area from the hose going to the liquid receptor? Mine is uncomfortable. Thanks

Everyone just mentions length. But I have read many women say girth is more important to female sensations. Does the implant just extend, leaving one with a very skinny "johnson"?

You gain in girth; I went from 4.8 around to 5.2; not much but every little bit helps. Over time, the implants soften up more, maybe get a little more. Same thing with length. Mine is only 5 weeks in and still ridged. I think the more I pump, the more flexible it becomes. By the way, flaccid girth same as erect girth. Not so for length. Looks good in the locker room, no more “shrinking turtle”!
