Good morning! Well it's another day today, we're up are ready to live it. (Even though it's probably 3:00 where you're at, lol)
That is very true, prostate cancer does not move as fast as other cancers. A few years ago, my uncle got cancer in his esophagus. He went to the doctor and they had to give him chemo treatments. He did very well and his numbers turned out great. Later on he started feeling sick, as if he had the flu. He went to the doctor and got scans and found the cancer came back and it was everywhere. They told him he had a week left to live, and then that was it. It's not too good to hear about
that but I'm just showing how PCa compares to other cancers. Before my dad went to the cancer doctor, he was seeing a urologist and she told him that if someone had to have cancer and they could pick what they were going to get, they should pick prostate cancer because it is the slowest growing.
Are they giving your dad anything to shrink his spots?
One thing that aggregates me about
my dad is that he smokes. He tells me that he is not smoking all the time because he doesn't want me to be mad about
it. Then I press him further and he will say how he only had one cigarette. Or I will look at his fingers and they will be yellow. My mom and I get so disgusted about
that. She asks him how someone with stage 4 cancer can go around smoking like that. If my dad gets mad about
something, he will go smoke like a chimney. I don't know what it will take to make him stop. I told him he is killing himself with those cigarettes and that smoking is no good for cancer. He will sometimes go to the store and buy cigarettes and then later he will tell us how he threw them out the window, as if he quit smoking, but then he goes back to the store and buys more. I know there's nothing I can do about
it but I can keep trying.
Have you tried anything with the hot plate yet? Can your dad get out and go to the store?
