Jevtana + memory loss

My father use Jevtana. He's on his 6th treatment round. He's had prostate cancer with mets to the back since 2005 and have had several rounds with taxotere earlier. After he started Jevtana he suffers from memory loss, and he struggles finding the right words now and then. His psa has decreased from almost 4000 to 2500 and the scans show no progression. Is memory loss a side effect of Jevtana?

not an expert here, but looking at listed side effects for both and memory loss isn't listed.

but there are a lot of reasons for memory loss other than these drugs.

Still, his treatment is a likely cause. Hopefully some of the other expert here will jump in soon.

What other reasons can cause memory loss? His scans show no mets to other parts of the body than the spine

PC might not be the only medical problem he's having. Lot's of non-PC related diseases cause memory loss (Alzheimer's to brain tumors, emotional issues to hypothyroidism - the list is long). You should have that conversation with his doctors. There are simple tests they can give to determine the extent of the problem and get him to the correct specialist for evaluation and possible treatment.

It's possible that all the medications he's taken have affected his brain/memory/cognitive abilities.

There is no simple answer. If it's a concern, it's needs to be brought up with his doctors.
