There have been a lot of posts on ultra sensitive psa tests, and the anxiety it causes when it shows an increase.
My psa has been stable for the past 6 years at .02.
In Feb my yearly VA psa test came back at .05
I just had another psa done as part of normal blood tests and it had two psa readings; .01 (DXI) and .03 (Centaur). Never saw this before.
So now I have 4 different readings since November .02, .05, .01 and .03
Goes to show the relative accuracy of ultra sensitive psa tests.

I can't think of a single good reason to have a uPSA after primary radiation therapy. All of those uPSAs are extraordinarily low, considering you still have a prostate. That must give you some comfort.

You are 70 with a very low PSA so by the time danger hits you will be pushing up daisies. Go out and enjoy life.

Not at all worried. The post was to assure others that the ultra sensitive psa has a lot a variations caused by labs, equipment calibration, time of day and season of year.

Thank you JohnT...I'm glad you reiterated your point after OP's missed it and personalized it as they did...Sooo difficult to communicate online...caveat emptor all internet communications...they are inherently misleading...read...study...self advocate...self reliance...these are nice words...but not easy nor should they be...

I agree with TA that you really have a low PSA for a radiation patient. Congratulations. Nice to hear from you again. You really helped me sort things out when I was first diagnosed.

Very low values. Perhaps part of the variation would not be observed if you had not a prostate.
