Hi folks,
I have a confirmatory biopsy coming up in a couple of weeks, and out of the five biopsies I've had so far, only the last one reached a higher level of discomfort -- the last few shots of the 14 from the "staple gun" (I know, I know... it just sounds like that!) felt more like kicks to the ace. I'd never felt that previously.
For the upcoming biopsy, I asked about periprostatic nerve block and was told: "1% lidocaine will be used periprostatic nerve block."
I'd surely like to hear opinions on whether you think I should request something different or if this lidocaine option is just what it should be.
Thanks!
