Burning and urinary urgency just started after peeing blood 3 weeks post op

So, everything is going better than expected. No pads, partial erections without pills, full erections with 50mg viagra.
Very grateful, so far, so good. Except 3 days ago I pass some dark blood at the beginning of stream. This, though small amou.t, was the most in volume so far and the darkest. Ever since then Im getting urinary urgency and constant annoying burning that is beginning to drive me crazy. Any thoughts guys?

Clots stuck in urethra?
Scar tissue begginning to restrict urethra?
Infection? Though feeling fine apart from the irritation

Curiously I would get the exact same feeling pre op after sex, sometimes where I would have to run back and forth to the toilet with the irritation and feeling that my bladder wasnt fully emptying. Always assumed that was some semen stuck in there. I would always pass an extra bit of pee that would make the irritation worse. Only this is lasting much longer. Have it as I type. Grrrrrr!

Thanks T A. It has since died down with some manipulation of my penis. Think toothpaste tube. So the fact tbat its going away and coming back makes me think its old blood agravating the urethra. I will check out the med for burning. Thanks.

I am 5-1/2 weeks post RALP. I started a walking program after week 4 where I am doing 2-3 miles at a 20 minute per mile pace every other day. I've had no problem until today. At the end of a 40 minute walk my pad was full of blood. My urine was about 50/50 urine and blood. A friend at the gym, a retired oncologist, was there and he said to call in and talk to the urologist on call. I did and she said that I am probably overdoing it. I had passed a pin head size clot and she said that the new connection between the bladder and the urethra is like a scab at this point and the walking dislodged a chunk. She put me 5 days rest, drink lots of fluids and watch out for clots that could plug the bladder or "stringy" ones that could show that it is something in the urethra.

So, I guess my walking was a bit too much at this point. I am an avid runner and anxious to get back to it but the prospect of having an more work down there that would necessitate the return of the catheter is all the threat I need to heed the order to rest.
