Orgasms after using Trimix

Please bear with me . Had RP (in 2011) and within a year I was getting about 60% erection. It wasn't stuffable but I was getting an orgasm.
I had my first experience with Trimix last year after being frustrated and afraid to have sex for 5 years and it was amazing. Doc let me inject 2cc's inside and I stayed erect for 2 hours. Unfortunately, my girlfriend at the time left me and just found this new one. I threw the old bottle out and got a new one. It worked OK but not as good. Almost 85% hard.
I suspect I need to increase the dose to about 4-5ccs and should be OK.
Here is the problem. I've used the Trimix 4 times since meeting my new gal and things are looking up (and going in!) but after I use the Trimix I find my libido and any erection totally gone for a few days!! I can't even arouse myself without the Trimix.
Does this stuff have any side effects? Am I to only used this a few times a month as directed? Why can't I even get myself going and achieve orgasm now? It's been 4 days since using the Trimix and I am starting to think there might be a downside to it.

maybe the new gal is so good that you're drained for a few days ...

On a more serious note, I've not heard of Trimix affecting libido. Were the pills not working for you?

It's okay to complain, you want better, nothing wrong with that. But if it's working once a week and you're enjoying it - well enjoy.

You may want to have a conversation with the doc about it. Trimix is made of three different components and sometimes the balance between those need to be adjusted for each man.

Hopefully the folks with more experience will be by soon with better suggestions.

THank you so much everyone. I am in pain management for back surgery and neuropathy (non-diabetic) so I would think that opioids might have something to do with it. I am now weaning off it after several years because I don't want to die from some accidental overdose. Then Fentanyl patch is probably the culprit. I take the lowest dosage but it can still have an effect on my libido.
I truly appreciate all the input and I probably answered my own question!

Things are just too varied from person to person..
I have been on Fentanyl patches, 100 mgm, swapped every 48 hours, and it has never affected my sex interest and drive.
I was one of the lucky ones, and I assure you its just luck, that was getting errections while still on the cath after surgery. My left nerves were removed, right side left but damaged. My surgery was in 2008, and to this date, never have used any sex meds or devices.
The only thing I feel is really different, is that I can not think myself "hard" like before, dirty pictures would do nothing for me. But a simple touch from my wife makes the old boy pop up.

You are not alone. I, myself, had RP 18 months ago and as of now, still nothing, just waiting for miracle to happen. I did everything possible for my erectile function to be returned by now but still nothing spontaneous, no signs it is coming. Also , my orgasams are nonexistent and hard to achieve.
I am 53 now, healthy and in excellent shape, non smoker non drinker and that did not do me any favor.
Ever since surgery my PSA is <0.1 which I am thankful for.

The only reason I know of for a man to be on clomiphene citrate is if he thinks he is a bit hypogonadial (low T). I tried clomiphene for six months while I was trying to recover from hormone therapy, and for the last three of those months I added human choriolic gonadotrophin (hCG) injections. Can't say it particularly worked for me. I wound up supplementing with a T cream that seems to be working. Is your T low? That could be a factor but there are other things to check out, too.

Next time you have blood drawn you might ask your doctor to throw in a test for prolactin. High prolactin levels are a frequent cause of anorgasmia (delayed or difficult orgasm) that can shut down even guys with normal T levels. Many men who've had prostate surgery are surprised to discover that they can climax without an erection. While you are working to overcome you ED you might want to deal with your anorgasmia as a separate issue.
