Proton Radiation of 2 Lymph Nodes near Prostate Area

As you can see from my signature, I have been battling 2 lymph nodes that the prostate cancer had spread to for the last 5 years with Casodex, Provenge and then Xtandi. Since my PSA was 7.72 on 2/8/18 but a PET scan showed no other cancer locations, my Dr referred me to the Chicago Proton center in Warrenville, Il to zap the lymph nodes. Just completed the 28 treatments on 4/26/18. Looking forward to next PSA results later this week.

Very minimal side effects. Lost a few pounds. All there were wonderful. The radiation therapists even asked me to bring in the Hooey Stick I made and show them how I could make the propeller reverse directions by saying "Hooey". I enjoyed the whole experience. It just took up a lot of my time each day.

Did you get all the pelvic LNs zapped or just the two that were detected?
