Interesting. On standard Medicare + medigap G, as I'm being told, for my Lupron shot in July, if it is my first doctor visit under Medicare (it won't be, chemo comes first) I'd get hit for the Part B deductible ($183, I think), since it is administered in office from their stock.
If I had to request the shot from the pharmacy, sent to doc to administer, oh, Katie bar the door!
There are so many differences between "Advantage" plans and standard Medicare + MediGap. I had to choose based on an unknown (will I have to move for family to another state?), and the Advantage plans for my area are pathetic and very limited (my current GP, Uro, and Onco won't accept them, but they are good with standard Medicare + Plan G).
My choice was of "least worst".
