I’m just very curious, a number of our members have blogs. Some focus on their cancer experience, others just on life. So I’m curious to know what your endgame is for entering your thoughts in a blog. Is it therapeutic? Or is it to promote an idea? Spread knowledge?
I’m thinking bout starting one. I’ve been told that writing is a talent for me, (some would say it’s my only talent, other than ferreting out the best doctors 😩.) I’m not so sure that’s true, but I enjoy it. I’ve got a lot in my head. And Facebook isn’t doing it for me.

Prato,
I'm pretty sure they do it for many reasons as you mentioned. I enjoy Andrews blog -In the shop- and also Todd's, Living with Prostate Cancer. I look forward to reading those all the time. I think you should do it, writing is definitely a talent for you, for sure. and you can empty your head of some of those thoughts!
I'll even throw down this challenge, you start one, and then so will I. I have always thought of doing one too, I already have a title picked out, so stay tuned, we'll jump in the frey together!

my "blog" is my Instagram account. I do daily stuff on "my stories". for example I posted about
my PSA test the other day. but I have a preference for images and little text and that's the case with most people who use Instagram.

I keep a regular blog about
stuff. I have written a number of thing about
my PC experience. I also post some poetry, life stories, pictures of my woodworking and other things that interest me. I find the creative process to be enriching. It feeds my creative soul. I started it and maintain as a way to give discipline to my writing.
If you have any skill in writing, it's a great outlet. Most people who blog have some focus (health, food, travel, politics, religion, life experience, etc) and the best blogs have a regular schedule.
The only way to know for sure is to just try it. I use the wordpress platform, but there are others and most have a way to get a free account (I have a paid account to get some extra features I like). The other big part of it is connecting with other bloggers and creating a community of folks.

Ed, I am now following you on Instagram. I’ve got some photos on smugmug. Not sure if it’s the right venue. My son talked me into do2nloadng all 1100 of my photos, from my flash drives (in my Nikon) to Google photos. I’m going to go thru them, sort them out, and maybe start using Instagram, and start getting semi serious about
my photography, which I’ve wanted to do for a while
