Hello! Was on this site a few times when my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer, intermediate. He ended up having high dose Brachytherapy in January and his PSA has come down to 3.8 so we feel very grateful. Just a question... He still has painful ejaculation and it does hurt a little bit when urinating. He stopped the Flomax because of the side effects but does it help with the symptoms he is having now? Haven't talk to doctor yet but everyone here is so informative. He did have side effects when on Flomox but he is only up once or twice to urinate. Thanks everyone and good luck to all!

It can take time for healing but think after this amount of time this should be discussed with the doctors.

Hmm, might still be too soon, but I'd check with his RO. FWIW, I didn't have that after my HDR brachy.
What were his negative SEs with Flomax? I found that Rapaflo worked better for me than Flomax.

I also did not experience that after HDRBT, check with Doc. Denis

I had LDR instead of HDR but did encounter some "backfiring" when ejaculating that were side effects form Flomax not the BT. Read Flomax carefully and with the direction of your RO wean off. As I weaned off of Flomax the ejaculaiton problems disappeared. Lots of walking also was of great help in all SEs!!!!
