Hi MG - Let me add my welcome. Your diagnosis is pretty similar to mine, at least in the broad view. We're in a high risk category, meaning that you'll want to pretty much throw everything at this up front. The high risk refers to eventual recurrence, or metastasis, since those type 5 cells are pretty rogue little buggers.
The good news is that even though it's a challenging diagnosis, there is a great deal of hope. The treatment protocols today are pretty well proven and successful in providing a durable remission.
Radiation and hormone therapy are likely options. There are various plans and methods for both that you'll want to explore.
We have a thread for those in our situation, dubbed it the G9 Crew just for fun. It's meant as a gathering place, a way to compare notes among us. You'll find many G9 cases there, most doing very well. I'm now 5 years after my radiation therapy, and 2 years after the end of hormone therapy. My PSA is stable, and I'm doing well overall.
