After over four years of being undetected my PSA came in at 0.07 when I was tested in July. I was visiting in Colorado so went to see my MO that I liked at the University of Colorado (UCH) His thoughts were to test again in a month and then if I have a continued PSA rise to have a new scan (can't remember the type) that can show where the small mets are and then maybe be able to have cyberknife or spot radiation depending on the number and location. That sounds pretty good to me because I had a really rough time on Lupron and avoided seeing an MO for 2 years because of it. My Doctor in Colorado emphasized that not seeing an MO for so long wasn't a good plan because of my high gleason, SVI+,EPE+,LVI+ etc. I think I just had PCa PTSD.
So I am wondering if you think my PSA rise to 0.07ng/ml is that significant and if the treatment plan sounds okay? I won't be going up to Denver until Sept 20th for my appointment (currently live in AZ). Is that too long to wait? Maybe there is an MO here I could see here. I've been very happy with UCH (Dr. Flaig) so thinking it's worth the drive but not sure about having future treatment away from where I live. Thanks for reading. I really appreciate this forum and visit almost daily. Don
