New PSA test results

Hello everyone,
I just received my PSA test results 0.1, this is after EBRT and HDR brachytherapy, I’m currently due for my next Lupron injection 09/14/18. I also completed a 21day water fast on July 25 of this year, been on Keto diet since, I’m trying to understand what the numbers mean and how am I doing and what else should I be doing to keep up the fight?

The ADT (Lupron) is keeping your PSA at very low numbers..When that treatment ends, that's when you find out whether the radiation treatment was successful in curing your cancer..At that point you can expect it to rise a little as you still have a prostate gland but it should level off at some low value called nadir and stay there...This process could take 2 or 3 years...Best of Luck to you..

Congrats on your excellent results with the EBRT and HDR Brachy. You have shown excellent results from your treatment and I wish you continued success. Just remember to keep vigilant on this disease and continue to monitor your PSA values regularly.
My kids keep talking to me about the KETO diet but I have not tried it yet. I think that my wife would need to be on board and we would need to do it together in order to have success with it. Can you tell me a little more about how it helped you?

You should be throwing a really big party. That's a great result and you're doing everything right.

The keto diet is great for weight loss, diabetics, people with metabolic syndrome, and there are studies that suggest it helps reduce tumors (especially brain cancers). It's effectiveness against PC has been hinted at by studies, but not full proven.

The key to the diet is lowering your carb intake - that alone has a number of health advantages, even if you don't go into ketosis.

Hey Guys, it looks like the virtual drinks are on sober1. That is a terrific PSA result. Uh.... hope the virtual drinks don’t knock ya off the wagon. Lol

I wasn’t sure how to take the psa results seems it took most people a shorter time to get to 0.1, I just keep going and fighting. Almost a 10 , in the shop is correct about keto, after my fast my body was in a state of ketosis (google it) so to stay in this state I consume less than 20 grams of carbs a day. Between the 21 day water fast and keto diet I have know idea the effect on my PC but mentally and physically I feel great.
