To Pratoman and others who responded to my earlier post regarding making a decision about another scan, ADT, and SRT:

First, I want to say what a wonderful brotherhood we have here at HealingWell.com. I count myself as blessed to have found such a group of understanding and caring people. Thank you to all of those who took the time to share thoughts and feedback with me on my last post as I count them all as valuable and helpful.

Update: As it turns out, it appears my insurance company will pay for an Axumin PET scan so I am going for that on October 9th to see if we can't find the cancer. I do understand that the likelihood of finding anything is less than 50%, but it's worth a try, i figure. If nothing shows up or we find cancer in the pelvic region I've decided to go the route of ADT for 6 months plus SRT, beginning as early as possible. If we find the cancer elsewhere I'll have to make a decision about treatment options, such as ADT.

Praying hard for a cure, and thanks again! I will keep you all posted.

Great plan. Remember that you'll want to give a month or two between starting ADT and start SRT.

After 6-12 months on ADT, likely you could have a "vacation" from that treatment to see if you PSA rises.

If you're really in the cure zone then, you're done. If not - you'll have a lot of treatments left to try.

I think this is a great way for you to go.

For my G9 I'm doing the HT and Radiation, I start the RT on 10/22

Motown...I only belatedly caught your thread on the options before you and then I saw you had already come to a decision. Glad you did and I think it's an excellent plan. Best of luck to you!

Good plan Paul. I had a negative Axumin scan then decided on ADT and SRT late last year. It seems to be working. Don't be surprised if the scan is negative at your low PSA. Afterward, the ADT and SRT will be a breeze and over with before you know it.
