Today is the day of the beginning....
I go for my Mapping session today....
And start RT on the 22nd

Other than having to have a full bladder, my simulation was easy. I think the whole episode took less than 20 minutes, including the tattoos. The therapists were great, and explained everything that was happening.

Yes painless and quick, Everyone was very pleasant....
As far as the Tattoo's were concerned, I wanted dragons....LOL
They did change my schedule from 10/22 at 0915 to to start on the 23rd 0830....And that was fine by me..


PS, Both of my Arms and right chest are sleeved out....

I spent some time in the woods so last night I was checking for ticks, and noticed my tiny tattoos. I hardly ever notice them. Dragons would be better. Maybe if the tattoos were better more guys would opt for radiation.

Gee, I never got any ink - for RT or any other reason. My RO uses implanted fiducials for CyberKnife treatment, so I got four little (think grains of rice) gold markers implanted (yeah. . . jammed) in my prostate.

Funny, after having "all" that gold stuffed in there, I don't feel any more . . . precious.

Good luck MG, I’m two weeks in, almost. It’s a grind but it will go quick.
I got 4 tattoos, can’t even see two of them, hidden by hair.

I will say the quality of the tattoos is lacking. I asked the tech if he could do a dragon or something.

It was the only time I got a "no" with a bit attitude during the whole process.

The gal who gave me my tattos was pretty good humored seeing as she had just run some kind of dye in my privates. She said you're all tatted up now so stay out of trouble.

The simulation was worse than the treatment. Catheter fore and aft, forcing in liquid dye. My oversized prostate and partial urethra blockage made it harder to get the catheter in. They also failed to inform me I needed to S**t it out before heading home. Picture yourself in a car on the highway after a fleet enema.
