I don’t really have a question but thought I’d share this experience.
I am 6 months post RALP and dealing with incontinence. Dry at night, usually able to make it to the bathroom after sitting, so things continue to improve.
8 days ago something spasmed in my lower back while putting on my running shoes. It didn’t feel too bad so I ran 8 miles but as the day went on it got pretty sore. The next day we left on a cross country road trip. The back continued to be an issue although now, a week later, it is almost back to normal.
The curious thing is that I went to being nearly incontinent when this started. I’d leak when sitting. When we’d stop at a rest area I’d engage the Kegels and head for the restroom and by the time I would arrive there was nothing to do but change the pad. In fact, doing a Kegel aggravated the back when standing.
It is interesting how all this is connected.
