Mezgom,
For men who have erectile dysfunction because of prostate surgery there is usually nothing that is available without a doctor's prescription that will help very much. Anything you see on TV or the Internet that doesn't require talking to a doctor is unlikely to do you any good. They're a waste of money, and what's worse, a waste of time.
As several guys have already mentioned, here are a few things that do work most of the time:
Pills. (Phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors like Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, etc.) These help most men who can get an erection but it doesn't last long enough to get the job done. Sometimes this will help men whose erectile nerves were damaged by prostate surgery if the damage wasn't too severe. There is a generic version of Viagra available now that is fairly inexpensive if you shop around. The drug in Viagra is sildenafil. You need to get your doctor to write a scrip for that. There is a web site called GoodRx.com that lets you do comparison shopping among local pharmacies. Make sure you go there before you get your scrip filled.
Injections. (Trimix is the one most guys here use.) This is something to try if pills don't work. Your urologist will give you a scrip for a tiny vial of injectable drugs that are injected into the side of the penis to cause an erection. This will work even for men whose erectile nerves are totally shot. The injection uses a very small needle (the same kind that diabetics use for insulin) and the injection is not that uncomfortable. Your urologist will give you the first shot in his office to teach you how and to see how you react to the drug mixture. Trimix works for 4 out of 5 guys who try it.
Implant. (an inflatable device implanted in the erectile chambers.) This is used by guys who get an ache from one of the drugs in trimix or for guys who have problems with the veins in their penis that cause them to lose their erections because the penis cannot contain the necessary pressure. These almost always fix an erection problem... mostly. They're not perfect. They don't make you 18 again. And they don't fix relationship problems that have nothing to do with your erections. But they are much, much better than nothing. I'm pretty happy with mine.
