After 5 years of no signs of cancer, our local urologist did a biopsy of poloyp in what's left of Danny's urethra...Pathology from a TUR of the urethra lesion and biopsy at the base or anastomotic site showed invasive adenocarcinoma. The tumor cells strongly positive for PSAP, focally positive for PSA. The Gleason score was 8 [4+4]. There are malignant glandular cells had prominent nucleoli arrange in cribriform and papillary pattern.
So we are back at MD Anderson waiting on MRIs and CT scan. Dr is hesitate on CT because his creatinine is borderline (had a kidney removed last year due to long term hydronophrosis associated with bladder removal). So, we hurry up and wait for scheduling to work us in. Once we find out if it's localized or spread, then we can get a plan.
