I also wore a mustache for about 35 years (started in high school)...and it never came off until one day I decided it was time for change. Poof! Nobody suggested I grow it back...Lol

It's the dog-days of Movember. Later in the month. Definitely past the date where it is in need of some sprucing-up. Just before Thanksgiving, often when family members from afar are coming home. Keep it? Or take it off before the end of the month?

I'm hanging in there until Nov 30th! I've been trimming mine regularly at the shortest setting.

Got a comment about it just yesterday at church...I didn't get into detailed conversation, just replied, "Movember."

I've had a full beard for 53 out of my 73 years, so the only was I could be noticed to bring up the conversation would be to cut it off... after 53 years I don't thin so.

Too bad, jerryo. Would have loved to have had you as a prostate cancer and men’s health awareness walking/talking supporter...you probably coulda done some good. Gotta be comfortable in your own skin, though. Maybe next year...

Still hanging in there, growing the Fu man-chu, but it looks more like a light , all grey, peach fuzz man-chu !
The Owner of the restaurant where we frequent noticed, and asked if I was just starting a stache. I told him yes for the past three weeks ! He just laughed, but I was able to tell him why and go on about the men's health month and talk about my PC, and about my very low T level due to the PC meds. Also got a talk started with my Air Quality Manager at work, she was not aware of my PC, and I have be with her for 1 1/2 years!

Who woulda thunk that a stupid OT post about pets woulda gotten more posts than a thread about Movember...during Movember! It's a shame. Here's the "excuse poll" results from earlier in the month on reason why men at HW/PC don't participate in Movember:

    1. The whole idea of it [Movember] doesn’t really excite me. - 33.3%
    2. my world is very small…[and so] I just care about those close to me - 33.3%
    3. If I don't shave, I just look like a bum - 16.7%
    4. I only shave a couple times a week so a mustache probably ain't happening - 16.7%
    5. I don't need to be challenged - 0.0%

Those are stunning responses about participating in Movember from a prostate cancer support site. Especially those first 3...stunning.
