? on PSA after being on Doxycline for 3 weeks

Hi guys !
I have been on Doxycline twice a day for three weeks, I am scheduled for a Drs visit this Friday for yearly check up AND psa test.
I don't have PC, but I do have enlarged prostate and have for years, im 59 otherwise good health.
Question is, is it ok to have psa after taking Doxy for 3 weeks ? If I did have PC would it cause a lower PSA ?
And should I go ahead and have he psa Friday ?
General Dr said it doesn't matter, but ive found better info here re PC and PSA ?s many times

It's an antibiotic and shouldn't have an effect on PSA - unless you have an infection that's been rising your PSA.

Antibiotics are sometimes give to treat prostatitis and in those cases it could affect PSA.

You should be fine.

My psa 1 yr ago was 1.45, im 59 yrs old and have a VERY enlarged prostate..Uro said " if your psa was 6 it wouldn't surprise me given the size of your prostate"

it jumps around 18 yrs ago it was .4,then in 2007 it was .99, then in 2012 it was .84, then in 2014 it was .95, then 2015 it was 1.16, then 1.45 2 yrs later
I think he said my prostate was 60 grams ?

Yes, PSA can jump around. Doesn't mean anything bad. An enlarged prostate could explain it. Also getting older could explain it.
